Hearing from younger students later on that we’d started a trend, and now The Project Space gets handed off to selected students as their official workspace.
We found an old professor’s office that was unlocked and just moved right in, and turned it into a studio. No budget. No rules. Just three artists and a bunch of ideas. I branded the whole thing like it was a legit gallery—logo, website, signage, and even custom sketchbooks we used to log our ideas. It was raw, collaborative, and a reminder that sometimes the best work happens when no one’s watching.
